Back From Vacation

I am back from my vacation, I did get a tan, I enjoyed some time in Maui, Hawaii, and I'm ready to start next week! Be prepared for that. Now, the iPhone 4 is not yet in my possession, but I did upgrade my OS to 4.0. Not a lot I can give on the update, but I'll tell you this: I'm enjoying the OS 4.0, and I can't wait to get my hands on the iPhone 4.

Update

Hey guys, I'm writing from the condo, I'm ready to get out of here, although I had such a good time in Hawaii, I want to come here to live!

Now, to the update. I'm getting my hands full after the vacation, but I'm keeping true to the schedule, at least for right now. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The real update is, I'm getting the iPhone 4 in just a little bit. I'm expecting it to come around in the next few days. I was always fantasizing about the iPad, but the iPhone 4 is more plausible right now. I'll keep posted on what happens in later blog entries, for right now, I got to get packing.

Aloha!

Alright! whatever webs.com were doing, they've finished it, and website is back up. Check out appvine.webs.com! You can check out our videos, and just find out a little bit more about us.

Also, there is a forum feature, not sure what to do with it yet, but if there will be any participation, I'll add more categories. Oh, and one more thing... There is a register feature with the website! If you register, you'll be able to post on the forum and whatnot, so go check it out!

Website down

Hey guys, don't know if any of you cared to visit our website, but it is currently down. The whole server is down. This is what happens when you host your website on someone else's server. I'll keep you all updated. For now, all the AppVine info is either on YouTube, or here!

Sick of the BP crap? Do something about it!

I was just browsing the App Store before hitting the pillow, and then I found this: it's the Ducks vs. BP app, which is actually pretty funny, but also presents some serious facts! The point is to let enough oil drop into the water to get the duck block the pipe. Don't let the oil drops hit the duck though or you will lose the game.

Of course, this is just a joke, but it presents a good fact in that app, and it's my favorite: "Politics take 500 years to break down." The BP oil spill is the hottest topic in the media today, and BP is taking the blame, as they should. My problem with it is that BP, the company that's responsible for the spill is expected to stop the leak, when they've done nothing about it for nearly a month! I wonder how long it'll take them. And Obama is just out there talking about kicking ass. Look, Mr. President; tell them to get the job done or they're out!

Estimated time for fixing the leak is mid-summer? I wonder how many seals, otters, pelicans, and fish will die in that time!? Put the politics in the toilet, where they belong, and flush it! Don't just talk about kicking ass, KICK ASS! If you want to make your mark, do it now!

Funny App

I recently stumbled upon an app that is supposedly using some sort of technology to take a picture using the screen of your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad. Of course, you must be thinking that it's impossible, and you're absolutely right. There is no such technology that Apple introduced for the screen to be able to capture an image of what's going on outside of the screen. This app will become kind of pointless when the iPhone 4 comes out with the front-facing camera, but for now, it still has a spot.

Anyways, it doesn't really take a picture of you, but it is quite a laugh. I'm not going to reveal all the details, but you can go ahead and check this app out in the App Store, it's called Screen Cam. It is free, so don't worry about hurting your check book with a pointless purchase, because if this were a paid app, it would be rather pointless.

Taking a vacation

Hellow peeps! As I announced in my latest app review, I am taking a vacation, and Hawaii trip is in order. I'll miss you guys, but don't worry; I'll be back. I couldn't stay away for too long. I'm planning on shooting a few bloopers, and maybe I'll post some of them on YouTube.

For now though, I'd like to just type something to fill in the white space. AppVine was something I introduced because I just wanted to make something on YouTube; anything. I closed down a previous YouTube channel that I think could have been a pretty good gig by now for personal reasons that I do not wish to discuss. Then, it hit me; it was what I was meant to do. With just some basic video editing and a not-so-great camcorder, I started making random videos.

Your Source for Random App Reviews. The line was actually derived from my idea of making completely random reviews with no particular schedule. I started out by actually going into the App Store and downloading something during the shoot but that was just a waste of your (the viewers') time. I ditched the idea, and made reviews of stuff I took a look at before I shot the video.

I'm constantly trying to come up with new ideas, new ways to keep AppVine update, and ultimately give you guys what you want. So, if you have anything you want to see from AppVine, don't hesitate to contact us. Just go to the "Contact Us" page, and fill out the quick form. All tips and feedback are appreciated, and will be considered.
